A little bit about Kristy

Hello, I'm Kristy.  I'm a registered Nutritional Therapist specialising in gut health. My mission is to use the latest evidence-based nutrition and my clinical experience to guide and help you to support your health and wellbeing.

After many years trying to juggle a demanding job as a solicitor in central London, I no longer had the drive I once had and felt completely exhausted. Instead of turning up the volume, as I always did, I decided to take a step back and look at what I could do to get back to my old self. I grew up in a very sporty family, with two brothers and a mother who always cooked homemade food. I went back to basics and became fascinated with how nutrition, especially gut health, and physical activity can support wellbeing.  It was through diet and focusing on my gut health that I gradually started to gain energy, felt more focused than ever and regained that feeling of wellbeing. Nutrition fascinated me so much that I set about changing career and retrained as a Nutritional Therapist.

My belief is that with the right information and willingness, positive changes in nutrition and lifestyle can support our health and wellbeing.

I am more than happy , I’m liberated.

After years of battling weight I couldn’t bare one more person saying eat less exorcise more
Kristy’s approach is far from this and one cap dies not fit all so through her unique approach I found the root cause. I have gone on to enjoy a progressive and healthy and dramatic weight loss with Kristy supporting and helping with all aspects.

Now all my digestive problems are cleared I am enjoying getting to optimum health. I feel there isn’t anyone who wouldn’t benefit from either a dietary overall or tweaking. Kristy is both a natural healer and nurturer making her stand out in this field.

Firstly, I want to mention that this is not my first encounter with a nutritionist, and I have been quite happy with the results of my previous nutritionist programme (aimed at lowering my cholesterol levels), so I am a firm believer in the ability of a good nutritionist to optimise a person's health, especially considering that in my experience, GPs do not show any interest whatsoever in disease prevention.

I have consulted Kristy a few months ago mainly due to digestion problems. She was recommended to me by a friend who was very impressed with the results, and I found Kristy not only extremely knowledgeable, but very personable and genuinely interested in investigating in depth the causes of my problems. The consultations were extremely useful and sometimes eye opening, and the recommended tests provided such in depth information that I never thought was in existence.

The treatment programme is three-fold: life style advice, nutrition (food and drink) advice and nutritional supplements. I am currently still undergoing the recommended programme for the gut health, and am already feeling much better.

I decided that as a mother it is my duty to extend this investigation to my children both of whom suffer from reflux, so we are in the process of doing it at the moment.

I have complete trust in Kristy and will continue to consult her on any health issues that may arise in the future, ahead of a GP (unless it demands a quick intervention of course), and would strongly recommend anyone with health issues that have not been addressed properly by a doctor to seek her advice, or better still to seek her advice before the health issues properly develop, i.e. to optimise your health. Prevention is much better and easier than cure!

I was introduced to Kristy through a friend I have known for many years. He explained it to me very simply as a no nonsense introduction to nutrition which is based on evidence. I was sold and called her immediately. I lead a hugely busy life with a child and demanding job trying to fit in everything including exercise into pockets of time.  I had been suffering from various ailments and fatigue since having my son. Up until now I thought I was relatively healthy and was resigned to it all being down to sleep deprivation and drinking too much wine. I was wrong.  Along with some functional testing, Kristy carefully reviewed my diet and introduced me to some super easy dietary adjustments (not a diet!).  Two months in and I am feeling so much more energised and accidentally slimmer.  Her regime has now become part of my daily routine and I naturally gravitate to the foods she recommended in the beginning.  Before I was somewhat aimlessly purchasing what I thought were supplements and health foods I needed now I buy what I know my body actually needs!

In this 'information era' we are living, I found Kristy's support more than useful. She gave me the reassurance I needed as well as a detailed food plan to make it easier for myself and my family. I very much appreciated when instead of telling me what not to eat, she helped me to manage my food cravings in a healthier way.

Kristy was the best pregnancy nutrition expert I came across during my pregnancy. Her evidence-based approach, as well as her incredible knowledge, allowed me to confidently approach my pregnancy nutrition.

I had high levels of energy for 10 months and I believe this is hugely down to the brilliant knowledge, menu plans and support she gave me. I highly recommend her for a healthy pregnancy!
